Bowling at The Highball is unlike that of any center in Austin. When we found out that the legendary Rock and Bowl, New Orleans’ oldest bowling center, was moving from their original location, we purchased the entire contents. We now have 8 total bowling lanes. The manual scoring tables, ball returns, pinsetters and even the lanes themselves, all of which were originally installed in 1959, have been stripped down and lovingly restored to new condition. The vintage pinsetters may have a few more problems than the new machines of today, but the functional history on our lanes is well worth the trouble! In contrast to today’s standard of synthetic lanes and computerized scoring, The Highball invites you to step back in time to the golden age of recreational bowling.

Single lanes are available first come first serve, 7 days a week.  The Highball accepts reservations up to 30 days in advance for no more than 4 lanes, 6 players per lane maximum, requests are not accepted with less than 48 hours of notification.  To inquire about a reservation for your group please email your request here.  Please note than when booking lanes in advance a $20 cancellation fee is charged per lane canceled with less than 48 hours of notification or “no show”.
